Tyneside had another successful Royal Canin Dog Show. We attended the AKC National Championship Dog Show in Orlando Florida for the 2023 Royal Canin event.
I came down with a horrible head cold on Saturday so I went directly to my hotel after showing without taking candids. I also wanted to beat the heavy afternoon rain.
Our breed club, Space Coast KC, did an excellent job with our show on Tues. It takes a village to put on a show that big and everyone’s hard work made the day a huge success. Congrats to all of our club members and thank you for your hard work and dedication.
I got on the evening news with Romeo, Trudy and Georgia on Friday night. A clip of me on my scooter running all three through the building on the way to the hotel. I did not know it until people told me LOL.
The dogs had a very good week. Trudy was reserve on Tues, wed and WB on Thursday then RWB to a major on Saturday from the Bred by class. Our little Georgia was a bit unsure of being gone over during puppy Stakes on Friday but showed like a pro on Sat. So proud of her progress.
Romeo got an Award of Excellence on Saturday in a gorgeous line up of specials. His Father Daryl also got an AOE in 2019 so it is pretty special to me.
As always my favorite part is seeing the many friends I pretty much only get to see at RC. I love you all and look forward to our next opportunity to hang out together.
Thank you to my good friends for helping me ringside and showing for me. You know who you are and I love you for it.
Thank you also to all the judges for making it fun and rewarding the Tyneside curlies.
Congratulations to all the winners over the weekend and Happy Holidays to everyone as we all prepare for a new year. I myself am excited about 2024 with several dogs to show and other dog related things in the works.
Wishing everyone a terrific New Year!
